Taipo. I remember B. 543 coming in to see Mr. Sparrow, A.S.P.,
at Taipo sometime towards the end of June. I acted as interpretez
B.543 complained of his transfer to the N.T. after doing a year
there previously. B.543 had then been about a month at Lok Ma
Chau. The A.S.P. told him "Hr. Scott has transferred you as a
punishment." B.543 claimed that he had been transferred by
A.S.P. Mohinder Singh owing to a grudge. The A.S.P. informed him
that Mr. Scott had had him transferred, not Mohinder Singh at all.
3.543 still insisted that his transfer was due to Mohinder Singh.
I say it was 5.45 p.m. when I was called to the telephone
because I saw the time by the station clock.'

19. Ho To Tung deed. "I am interpreter at Taipo Police station.
On 21st July last I was on telephone duty at that Station
between 3 and 5.30 p.m. I recorded in the usual book every
telephone message that came through, and produce the book.
I received no message whatever from Lok Ma Chau.
Whenever any
out station, including Lok Ha Chau, rings up Taipo, the electric
shutter for that Station falls in addition to the bell ringing.
the Lok Ma Chau shutter did not fall in those 2 hours.
I entered up the book as usual at the desk by the telephone
switch-board. I did not leave the telephone room at all.
At 5.30 p.m. I handed over to telephone clerk Chan To Sing."
